Arbor Day - Missionary Ridge Tree Planting

Come celebrate Arbor Day by planting Ponderosa pine seedlings with Mountain Studies Institute and the San Juan National Forest!

We will meet at Animas City Park at East 32^nd St and East 2^nd Ave at 9:30, organize carpool, and proceed to the Missionary Ridge Gravel Pit parking area. San Juan National Forest forester, Gretchen Fitzgerald will provide background on the tree-planting program and lead us in planting Ponderosa pine seedlings for restoration. Please bring a lunch, water, hat, sunscreen, work gloves, and layers to prepared for southwest Colorado’s variable spring weather. Tools will be provided.

This program will be capped at 12 volunteers.
